IMPORTANT: Please read this disclaimer carefully before using the application. By using the application, you acknowledge and accept this disclaimer in its entirety. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

1. General Disclaimer

Beyarmudu is a peer-to-peer communication application developed for personal and experimental purposes. The Application is provided "as-is" and "as-available". The Developer makes no express or implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, security, accuracy, and non-infringement.

The Developer does not recommend using the application for professional, commercial, or security-sensitive purposes and accepts no responsibility for any such use.

2. P2P Architecture Warnings

Due to Beyarmudu's P2P architecture, users should be aware of the following:

  1. IP Address Visibility: Your IP address may be visible to other participants in WebRTC connections. This is a technical requirement inherent to P2P technology and is not within the Developer's control.
  2. Encryption Limitations: WebRTC uses DTLS-SRTP encryption by default, but Beyarmudu does not guarantee end-to-end encryption (E2EE). The confidentiality of transmitted data cannot be guaranteed.
  3. Data Control: Messages, files, and voice data are transmitted directly to other users. You have no control over this data after transmission. Recipients may save, copy, or redistribute this data.
  4. Persistence: Due to P2P architecture, messages are not stored on a central server, but may remain on the recipient's device.
  5. Connection Reliability: P2P connections depend on network conditions; interruptions, latency, or connection loss may occur.

3. Security Warnings

Information you should NEVER share on Beyarmudu:
  1. National ID numbers or other official identification
  2. Credit card, bank account, or financial information
  3. Passwords, security questions, and other authentication data
  4. Health information or medical records
  5. Confidential or trade secret information
  6. Any personal information or images relating to individuals under 18
  7. Any content that is legally protected or whose sharing constitutes a crime

All responsibility for sensitive information shared despite these warnings rests entirely with the user.

4. User Content

All legal and criminal responsibility for content shared through the Application (text, voice, files, images) rests entirely and exclusively with the user who shares it. The Developer:

  1. Does not monitor, review, filter, or moderate user content.
  2. Is not responsible for illegal, harmful, abusive, obscene, or rights-infringing content.
  3. Does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, quality, or legality of content.
  4. Cannot be held responsible for disputes between users.

5. Account Security

Users are solely responsible for the security of their account credentials (username, password). The Developer:

  1. Is not responsible for account security breaches, unauthorized access, or account loss.
  2. Provides an admin-approved password reset mechanism for forgotten passwords, but does not guarantee this service will work in all circumstances.
  3. Makes no guarantees regarding backup or recovery of account data.

6. Service Continuity

The Developer is in no way responsible for service interruptions or data loss caused by:

  1. Technical failures, software bugs, server issues, or network outages
  2. Issues, changes, or terminations in third-party services (PeerJS, Cloudflare)
  3. Maintenance, updates, or reconfiguration work
  4. Cyber attacks, security breaches, or data leaks
  5. Force majeure (natural disasters, war, legal regulations, pandemic, etc.)
  6. Complete shutdown or termination of the application

The Developer reserves the right to shut down the application at any time, for any reason or no reason, without prior notice.

7. Legal Compliance

Users are obligated to comply with all applicable laws in their country of residence and the Republic of Turkey. All legal and criminal responsibility arising from illegal use of the Application rests exclusively with the user.

8. Indemnification

The User agrees and undertakes to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Developer against any and all claims, lawsuits, damages, losses, and expenses (including attorney fees and court costs) arising from the User's use of the Application, violation of these terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

The Application depends on third-party services (PeerJS, Cloudflare, YouTube, Spotify, etc.) and content shared by users may contain third-party links. The Developer is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, security, or availability of these services or links.
